The GVO excavator relief valve, compatible with Hitachi excavators, is a key pressure control valve in the hydraulic system. It regulates hydraulic pressure, releases overload pressure, protects core hydraulic components such as the main valve and hydraulic pump, and ensures stable operation of the entire machine.

This relief valve is precision-machined from high-quality steel and undergoes overall quenching treatment. Product Introduction

This GVO cartridge-type main relief valve is a hydraulic main control pressure protection valve compatible with five 45-ton heavy-duty excavators EC460, Kobelco SK450-6E, EX400-6, ZX450, and ZX470. It precisely replicates the original factory distribution valve's main gun mounting bore diameter, thread specifications, insertion depth, and internal pressure regulating structure, making it a highly versatile core hydraulic safety component for large-tonnage excavators, suitable for repair shops.

This series of machines is widely used in high-intensity operation scenarios such as hard rock stripping in open-pit mines, large-scale earthmoving and rock removal, deep excavation of infrastructure foundation pits, rock crushing and dismantling, and heavy-duty continuous loading. During moments of powerful bucket biting into hard rock, cylinder full-stroke pressure locking, and high-speed start-stop braking, the hydraulic lines generate impact high pressures far exceeding the rated value.

The relief valve monitors the main pump's output oil pressure in real time, 24/7. Once the system pressure reaches the safety limit, it instantly opens to release excess hydraulic oil back to the hydraulic tank, preventing costly overhauls caused by main hydraulic pump plunger damage, distributor plate breakage, multi-way valve body bore scratches, high-pressure oil pipe rupture, and damage to internal components of the travel and swing motors.

Furthermore, this relief valve directly determines the maximum pressure value of the entire system and is a key component ensuring excavation power and coordinated complex movements. Common problems such as weak digging, stalling under heavy loads, high hydraulic oil temperature, and jerky/vibrating movements are mostly caused by wear on the original relief valve core and fatigue failure of the pressure spring.
