This GVO multi-stage cartridge relief valve is a core pressure protection assembly in the hydraulic system of Komatsu's classic 6th generation 20-ton excavators. It is fully and precisely compatible with the PC200-6, PC220-6, PC230-6, and the extended chassis heavy-duty model PC250LC-6. It can function as the main control distribution valve and main relief valve to stabilize the reference pressure of the entire vehicle's hydraulic system, and also as a swing overload relief valve to buffer the instantaneous high-pressure impact during steering. It is a highly essential hydraulic wear part for the maintenance and replacement of the large number of older 6th generation Komatsu excavators.

The valve body undergoes tempering and quenching to enhance structural toughness. The entire valve stem's outer circumference is subjected to multiple high-precision centerless grinding and polishing processes, resulting in an excellent mirror-like surface finish. This effectively resists long-term scratches from iron filings and sand particles in the hydraulic oil, preventing internal pressure leakage and potential oil spillage caused by scoring of the valve body's inner wall.

The multi-stage segmented valve core and seat sealing pair employs a dual precision machining process: deep-hole high-precision honing and ultra-mirror-finish grinding. The clearance is controlled to an extremely small range within micrometers, maximizing pressure sensing sensitivity and achieving millisecond-level instantaneous triggering for opening and closing.

When the instantaneous load pressure of the hydraulic system exceeds the rated safety threshold of the equipment, the valve core can open rapidly to overflow and relieve pressure. The pressure drops instantly and accurately returns to the seat to seal and lock, thus fundamentally and thoroughly solving a series of typical and difficult faults of Komatsu 6th generation machines caused by the aging and failure of the overflow valve. These include common problems that have long plagued machine owners, such as weak digging force, slow boom drop due to its own weight, sluggish and slow boom retraction, reduced bucket digging pressure under heavy load, shaking and tail swing during swing, decreased travel power under heavy load, stalling and speed drop, and abnormal rise in hydraulic oil temperature.
