The GVO excavator relief valve, compatible with Hitachi excavators, is a key pressure control valve in the hydraulic system. Product Introduction

This GVO cartridge-type overload main relief valve is a core hydraulic pressure protection component specifically designed for Sumitomo's classic 5th generation mechanical hydraulic excavators and 6th generation electronically upgraded models. It precisely covers the older direct-injection 20-ton earthmoving excavators (SH200-5, SH220-5, and SH240-5) and the upgraded SH210-6 electronically controlled excavator. As the built-in pressure control safety assembly of the multi-way distribution valve, it fully undertakes three core functions: limiting the maximum working pressure of the hydraulic system, providing instantaneous pressure relief under heavy load, and stabilizing and locking pressure under continuous load. It is an indispensable safety barrier for the hydraulic circuits of these main Sumitomo models.

The entire structural design and external locking protection are perfectly suited to address the  points of the harsh construction environments faced by Sumitomo's older SH5 generation excavators and SH210-6 electronically controlled excavators. Addressing the challenges of aging seals, high vibrations and rough terrain on construction sites, exposure to mud, water, and dust, and high oil temperatures in the enclosed engine compartment during summer, the system features comprehensive reinforcement and upgrades in four dimensions: vibration resistance, high temperature and oil corrosion resistance, rust and corrosion prevention, and high-pressure leak prevention.

The top hexagonal locking adjusting nut uses a thickened forged structure with evenly distributed stress points. Under heavy-load digging impacts, vibrations during site transfers, and high-frequency rotation and start-stop cycles, it firmly locks the internal spring travel, preventing loosening of the adjusting threads and system pressure drift due to prolonged continuous vibration. This avoids the tedious process of repeatedly disassembling and readjusting the pressure.

The valve stem sliding joint has precise clearance control and is equipped with oil-resistant and wear-resistant sealing gaskets to resist corrosion from deteriorated hydraulic oil and aging corrosion from high-temperature oil. Even if the oil temperature in the engine room soars in summer and the temperature difference between hot and cold seasons changes, the seals are not easy to harden, crack, or leak oil.
