orking principle of overflow valve

The overflow valve is a pressure control element in the hydraulic system. The core principle is to control the system pressure by balancing the spring force and the hydraulic oil pressure:

- When the system pressure is lower than the set value, the hydraulic oil pressure is not enough to overcome the preload of the spring, the valve core is closed, the oil cannot be discharged through the overflow valve, and the system works normally.

- When the system pressure exceeds the set value, the hydraulic oil pressure is greater than the spring force, the valve core is pushed open, and the excess oil flows back to the oil tank through the overflow valve, so that the system pressure is maintained within the set range to avoid excessive pressure.

The main function of the overflow valve

1. Pressure stabilization: In the quantitative pump system, when the flow demand of the actuator (such as the cylinder, motor) changes, the system pressure is ensured to be stable by overflowing the excess oil.

2. Pressure limiting protection: When the system is abnormal (such as excessive load, oil circuit blockage) and the pressure exceeds the safety value, the overflow valve quickly opens to release the pressure to prevent damage to the components.
3. Unloading assistance: Some relief valves can cooperate with other components to unload the pump when the system does not need to work, thereby reducing power loss.
