Carter 345GC hydraulic pump solenoid valve is usually composed of coil, iron core, valve body, spring and other components. When the control system issues a command to energize the solenoid valve coil, the coil will generate a magnetic field to attract the iron core to move. The movement of the iron core drives the valve core to change its position, thereby opening or closing the corresponding oil port to achieve control of the flow direction, pressure or flow of hydraulic oil. According to the different movement modes of the valve core, the solenoid valve can be divided into direct-acting type and pilot-operated type. The direct-acting type is directly driven by electromagnetic force, has a simple structure and fast response speed, but is often used in low-pressure occasions; the pilot-operated type controls the opening of the main valve through the pilot valve, and can be used in higher pressure hydraulic systems.

    - Flow adjustment: By changing the opening of the valve core, the flow of hydraulic oil is controlled so that the output flow of the hydraulic pump matches the actual working requirements of the excavator. For example, when performing fine work, a smaller flow is required, and the solenoid valve will reduce the opening; when performing heavy load work such as strong excavation, a larger flow is required, and the solenoid valve will increase the opening.
