Product Introduction

This GVO external swing relief valve is a dedicated pressure protection valve for the swing systems of Kobelco’s "-8" series excavators across all tonnage classes. It is fully compatible with medium-tonnage earthmoving models (SK200-8, SK210-8, SK250-8) and large-tonnage heavy-duty mining models (SK330-8, SK350-8). Designed for use with Kawasaki M5X130 and M5X180 swing motors, it serves as the core pressure-regulating and overload-protection component of the independent swing hydraulic circuit. It performs four critical functions: capping the swing system's maximum pressure, relieving pressure spikes during start/stop operations, stabilizing and maintaining pressure during braking, and dampening high-pressure pulses. It is a vital safety component ensuring the stable operation of the swing mechanism in Kobelco's "-8" series excavators.

The hydraulic hose fittings at both ends of the valve body are equipped with fluoro-rubber O-rings that are resistant to extreme temperatures, hydraulic fluid corrosion, and long-term aging. The sealing grooves are precision-machined to strict tolerances, ensuring a tight fit with the fitting grooves. This design prevents the O-rings from hardening, cracking, deforming, or leaking—even under demanding conditions such as rapid oil temperature rises during continuous high-intensity summer operations or thermal cycling during cold winter starts. It effectively eliminates hydraulic fluid leakage at the connection points, thereby preventing fluid waste and large-scale oil contamination at the job site.

The internal spool features a precision-engineered sliding clearance (micron-level tolerance), and all flow passages undergo chamfering and deburring to minimize erosion and wear on the valve body walls caused by high-pressure fluid turbulence and cavitation. A simple upstream debris-blocking structure at the inlet prevents large metal particles and sediment from entering the spool's sealing interface. Even if routine maintenance (such as filter replacement) is delayed or hydraulic fluid cleanliness control is lax, this design significantly reduces the risk of valve jamming and subsequent swing system failure, making it highly suitable for the realities of typical job-site maintenance practices.
