The GVO excavator relief valve, compatible with Hitachi excavators, is a key pressure control valve in the hydraulic system. Product Introduction

This GVO integrated overload main relief valve is a dedicated control valve for the hydraulic systems of Kobelco’s classic "Yellow Hornet" series. It is fully compatible with a range of models, including the older SK200-6E (direct-injection engine), the SK200-8 and SK210-8 (medium-tonnage earthmoving models), and the SK350-8 (large-tonnage heavy-duty mining model). Serving as an external pressure control assembly for the main control valve, it performs four critical functions: limiting the maximum system pressure, providing instantaneous pressure relief during heavy-load pressure spikes, maintaining stable pressure under load, and dampening pressure shocks.

Designed with a focus on sealing integrity, impurity tolerance, and durability in harsh conditions, this universal relief valve addresses the common challenges of field operations—such as heavy dust, exposure to mud and water, flying debris, and hydraulic oil contamination. It features comprehensive upgrades in sealing, rust and wear resistance, and anti-jamming performance.

The oil outlet fittings at both ends of the valve body are equipped with fluororubber O-rings that are resistant to oil, temperature extremes, and aging. Precision machining of the fitting threads and sealing grooves ensures a perfect fit upon installation. These seals resist hardening, cracking, deformation, and leakage across various operating conditions—including high-intensity summer work with soaring oil temperatures, cold winter starts, and seasonal temperature fluctuations—thereby preventing oil loss and site contamination caused by leaks at the connection points.

The internal spool utilizes a precision sliding fit with micron-level tolerances, and all internal flow channels are chamfered and deburred to minimize erosion and cavitation damage to the valve body walls caused by high-pressure oil turbulence. The inlet features a built-in debris-blocking structure that prevents large metal particles, mud, and sand from directly entering the spool sealing interface. This design significantly reduces the risk of valve jamming or total pressure failure—even when routine maintenance (such as filter replacement) is delayed or hydraulic oil cleanliness is poor—making it well-suited for the realities of rough maintenance practices often found on construction sites.
